Father Christmas Days

The Oxford and District Model Railway Club were asked by the Oxford Bus Museum to provide layouts as part of their Father Christmas days. Three layouts were provided. Bossington, Oldstead Gate and a z-gauge layout, Tetsudo Sankei.

The club were at the bus museum for two days. Sunday 11th and Sunday 18th December.

A great time was had, selling tickets for our mini-raffle, and handing out flyers for our open day in May and our exhibition in September.

Its always good letting kids enjoy running Thomas the Tank Engine on Oldstead Gate, plus entertaining the public with Bossington.

Whilst people were out enjoying one of the Oxford Bus Museums heritage bus rides, we also took the opportunity to run some of our scale length trains on Oldstead Gate, including one of the members Bachmann Blue Pullman and a representation of the South Wales Pullman service.

The club look forward to supporting the museum with a half term even in February, and the Models at the Museum event in March. Further details can be found here: https://www.oxfordbusmuseum.org/heritage-bus-rides
