Jimperon 1

Jimperon & Park Drive is an N gauge layout from Peter McConnell with help from Jim Briggs and Ron Alcock, all members of OMRC. The layout is an end to end L shaped layout set in the U.K. running modern image stock.

The layout is designed to exploit operating capabilities between a substantial market town and its suburbs. Trains run from the hidden sidings/fiddle yard located behind Park Drive to the main station Jimperon. Some trains run into the the bay and then leave down the incline to Park Drive, others return to the hidden sidings. There is no freight facility at Jimperon.

Jimperon 2

Park Drive is a single platform suburban terminus with a run round loop and a small bay for goods. From Park Drive trains may run up the incline to Jimperon or take the branch, which passes the harbour (no rail facility), to the second hidden sidings behind Jimperon.

The baseboards are made from 4mm and 6mm ply longitudinally braced with 9mm doweling. Jimperon buildings are made from adapted Metcalf card kits and road vehicles, particularly buses, abound. The boats are heavily adapted kits. The stock is Farish, Farish/CJM with CJM locomotives and DMU's. Arnold, Roco and Peco provide most of the freight wagons.

Jimperon & Park Drive has now been sold.
